OpenAI API Organization Authentication

OpenAI allows you to use the latest models by authenticating your API Organization. API Organization authentication is an added authentication process to mitigate use cases that violate the API usage policy.

What You Need for Authentication

API Organization requires a valid government-issued ID from a supported country. Please prepare at least one of the following IDs before proceeding with authentication.
*Because the authentication process involves taking a photo of the ID holder's face with a camera for identity verification, please ensure that the authentication is performed by the individual themselves.

• Driver's license
• Passport
• Residence card
• My Number card (Individual Number Card)
• Visa

Also, a smartphone is required for authentication because it uses a camera.
(Even if you access it from a PC, you will be guided to move to a smartphone via a QR code during the authentication process.)

Steps for OpenAI API Organization Authentication

1. Go to Setting > General on the OpenAI API platform and authenticate from "Verify Organization."
   
   

2. Authentication uses Persona, an external digital identity verification platform.
   Selecting Start ID Check will take you to the Persona authentication platform.
   After reviewing the Persona and OpenAI privacy policies, check "I consent to the processing of biometric information." and select "Get Started Now."
   
   

3. Select your country of residence and select "Confirm."
   
   

4. Select the type of identification document from the options.
   
   On the next screen, take a photo of the identification document using the camera. (If prompted for camera access, select Allow.)
   

5. Perform facial recognition for identity verification. Continue following the instructions on the screen.
   
   

6. Once the API Organization authentication is complete, the Verifications display on the API platform will show "Organization Verified," and you will be able to use OpenAI's latest models.
